Who we are

Kishori Lal Ratan Chand Jewellers is a jewellery business located at Bank Street, Karol Bagh, New Delhi 110005. This policy explains how we handle the personal information of our customers and website visitors, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to serve you:

• Your name, phone number and address when you buy, order, repair, pledge or enrol with us.
• Details of your bills, custom orders, repairs, girvi (pledge) accounts and savings schemes.
• Identity documents (KYC) where the law requires them for a transaction.
• The details you send us in an enquiry on this website. If the website asks you to verify your email address or WhatsApp number first, we keep that email or number with your enquiry, so the shop can reach you.
• Anonymous page views on this website. Our page-view counter does not store your IP address, name or phone number; it records only the page you visited and the site you came from.

Verification codes and cookies

Before it takes an enquiry, this website may ask you to verify your email address or WhatsApp number. SHUBHRA then sends you a 6-digit code. With each code we keep only a scrambled form of the code and of the email or number it was sent to; the code works for 10 minutes, and both are deleted within two days.

To stop misuse, we count how many codes and enquiries come from each network address and, for enquiries, from each email domain. We keep only a scrambled form of the network address and of the domain, and delete them within two days.

After you verify, the website sets one cookie for 30 days so you are not asked again on this device. It holds only the email or number you verified. We use no other cookies, and none for advertising.

Why we use it

To prepare your bills and orders, deliver repairs, manage your girvi and scheme accounts, answer your enquiries, keep the records the law requires, and remind you about payments that are due on your own accounts.

WhatsApp messages

We send bills, receipts and reminders about your own purchases and accounts on WhatsApp, through our messaging provider. From time to time we may also send you our offers on WhatsApp. If you do not want our offers, tell the shop and we will stop sending them.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only with:

• SHUBHRA, the software provider that stores our records, processes them on our behalf and sends the website's verification codes. Your data is stored on our software provider's servers.
• Our messaging provider, our email provider and WhatsApp, which carry the messages and codes we send you.
• Government or other authorities, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purpose above and for as long as the law requires, for example tax and accounting records. After that it is erased or made anonymous.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to:

• Show you the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or update it.
• Erase it, where we are not required by law to keep it.
• Withdraw a consent you gave, including consent to WhatsApp messages.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you cannot.

Children and consent

• Information about a child (under 18) is provided by a parent or guardian.
• If you withdraw your consent, services that need that information may stop.

Grievances

For any question or complaint about your information, contact Kishori Lal Ratan Chand Jewellers at in person at Bank Street, Karol Bagh, New Delhi 110005. Grievances are handled by the shop's owner. We respond within 30 days. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
